Vacation!

We just got home from vacationing in the Outer Banks, NC. I really do love that place. It was a much needed and much appreciated break from the every day. Here are some of my favorite pics:

"A girl with a hat is just so...vogue."

I bought this hat on etsy in anticipation of my daughter's birth. Here she is at almost 6 months, and it finally fits her! I loved it from the minute I saw it and dreamed of the day I'd see my sweet girl wearing it...

It was worth the wait!

One More Cosmo Layout...

This is the first of what will be MANY projects I do using the Early Bird line. Honestly, I would put the little toaster on everything in my house: wallpaper, curtains, bed sheets, dishes...suffice it to say he makes me happy :) When I saw the E.B. chipboard shapes I knew they would be perfect to go with a pic of my daughter at 5 months. Right now she wakes up early (6 am), is the perfect blend of sweetness and sass, and loves to sing (in a Scuttle-esque kind of way).

Funny anecdote: The kids and I were it Target yesterday and I was perusing the lingerie section. Jack says, "Where are we?," and Ethan goes, "This is the BOOB place."

Mother's Day 2009

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year! The fam and I went to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, which is where Derek and I were married. It is a tradition of ours to go every year on our anniversary (May 4th), but this year it was raining. It was a perfect day for the park, the sun was shining with a nice breeze. For dinner, Derek made cheese fondue and steak salad. It was AWESOME! Here are some of my favorite pics of the day...
